My career began in 1994 at IBM Global Services in Maryland, writing enterprise software for clients like Sallie Mae, Time Life, and Verizon. I earned my Master's in Computer Science from Oregon Graduate Institute and spent the next decade deep inside the American financial system — first as system architect at FOLIOfn, the brokerage that pioneered basket trading and fractional ownership, then as a project manager at Fannie Mae, running the pricing infrastructure for a $700 billion mortgage portfolio.
In 2008, I returned to India to co-found FundsIndia. We built the country's first retail online mutual fund platform — growing it over eleven years to 2.5 lakh customers, ₹6,500 crores in assets, and a successful exit to a PE firm in 2023. As COO, I ran eleven departments and 350 employees, and conceived most of the platform's first-of-its-kind features.
In 2019 I co-founded PrimeInvestor — a research-as-a-service platform built for a simple reason: retail investors in India deserved unbiased, independent research they could actually trust. In 2024, we extended that philosophy into portfolio management services. Today, PrimeInvestor PMS manages money for investors who want research, rigor, and real skin in the game.
I'm a frequent voice in Indian financial media, hold the President of India's gold medal for academics, and a US patent for server architecture. But the credential I value most is simpler: my family's wealth sits in the same portfolios we manage for clients.
